McDonald’s Happy Meals give us that glimmer of childhood we so often crave. Remember begging your parents to stop at Mickey D’s for those addicting fries and a new Teenie Beanie toy? I do. My sister and I collected like fiends. Not only that, but I also collected the old Disney toys (like Tarzan), Disney glass cups and, of course, the tiny McFurbys to match my real one. It was such a special time to be alive.
Now, the chain is switching things up with the brand-new Lil McDonald’s Happy Meal, a nostalgic throwback to a time that once was. While we’ve grown up a bit since then, that doesn’t mean we have to throw the towel in on fun. Even better, we get to share it with a darling new generation.
What is the Lil McDonald’s Happy Meal collection?
Imagine your local McDonald’s, and shrink it to fit in the palm of your hand. That’s the Lil McDonald’s Happy Meal collection. Miniature versions of brand name products have been a trend on social media for some time now, so it’s no surprise that McDonald’s is cashing in on the popularity. But let’s not pretend the tiny Boo Buckets, drive-thrus and Happy Meals aren’t the gosh darn cutest things you’ve ever seen.
With the new Happy Meal, you get the chance of finding one of 21 mini toys—all pieces that resemble McDonald’s food or restaurant locations. Some toys include the signature Golden Arches, the trash cans, individual Happy Meals and even a branded McDonald’s truck. Gather them all, and you can have a dazzling time playing restaurant with your kids, nieces and nephews. Or yourself. We don’t judge here.
Much like the Minecraft Happy Meal, the toys are nearly impossible to resist and call back to a time of childhood peace and excitement. There’s nothing quite like popping open those tiny golden cardboard arches to see what’s inside that McDonald’s plastic bag. It’s always about the thrill of the hunt!

You can order your own Lil McDonald’s Happy Meal starting July 1, 2025 at participating McDonald’s locations nationwide, and we recommend getting a head start. If you know anything about the market for old McDonald’s toys, you know they can go for a lot of money. These little guys are so adorable that I can see them becoming a huge hit for the nostalgic McDonald’s community. They’re the perfect segue into the reintroduction of the Snack Wrap to the McDonald’s menu. This summer really is one for the fast-food books.
