Dunkin’ Summer Munchkins Buckets Are Here, and You Can Take Them to the Beach

Going to the beach with my dad remains my most prized childhood memory. On days we didn’t have softball, he’d gather the goods (towels, beach bag, sunscreen and the radio), load ’em into the car and excitedly tell me to change into my swimsuit. We’d jam to John Fogerty and Queen on the drive and hurriedly rush to an unclaimed piece of sand so I could begin my favorite task—making sandcastles.
If only I’d had the new Dunkin’ Summer Munchkins Buckets back then, I would have been living the good life! That’s right, Dunkin’ is making this summer all about Munchkins, sand and fun in the sun.
What’s special about the Dunkin’ Summer Munchkins Buckets?
For starters, the new summertime version comes with a small shovel. No…not for the Munchkins, but for the sand! If you keep up with the Dunkin’ news, you know that Munchkins Buckets have been around for a while. Last year, we reported on the chain’s adorable Munchkins Bucket comeback for Halloween. They sold like crazy. Since then, Dunkin’ fans have been on the lookout for the latest collectible drop. This summer, they’re getting one fit for a king. A sand king, that is.
Dunkin’s Summer Munchkins Buckets are, to say the least, absolutely adorable. While we love collecting as a hobby, it’s nice when the objects we collect are also practical. For those with little ones (and those who are still young at heart), these Munchkins Buckets will bring you back to the good ole times.

That’s right, they double as a sandcastle bucket! I was absolutely obsessed with making sandcastles when I was a kid, so my dad was always collecting new buckets for me to use on our next beach trip. We used all shapes and sizes, sometimes when it wasn’t even meant to be a bucket. If he was able to snatch this Munchkins Bucket so we could snack on little doughnuts while building tiny castles at the same time, he would have been thrilled.
When do the Dunkin’ Summer Munchkins Buckets drop?
According to @markie_devo, some locations have already been spotted selling the Munchkins Buckets for summer. Taste of Home‘s Senior Social Media Manager, Tommy Byrne, spotted the buckets at his local Dunkin’ in New Jersey. While we don’t have an official drop date, it’s likely we’ll see the rest of them roll out to participating Dunkin’ locations across the country in the next week or so. Make sure to ask your local Dunkin’ the next time you visit. Which, if you’re like me, will probably be tomorrow morning. I just cannot get enough of that pistachio latte.
